Bio-Protection Research Centre Board member Chris Kelly and Biosecurity Theme co-leader Stephen Goldson have made The Listener magazine’s 2008 Power List.
The list covers the most influential people in New Zealand across a range of fields including Business and Economics, Maoridom, Law, Media, Sport, Agriculture and Science and Technology.
Mr Kelly, who is Chief Executive of Landcorp, New Zealand’s largest farming estate, is rated the most influential person in New Zealand agriculture. This ranking was awarded in recognition of his efforts in “putting Landcorp at the forefront of the drive for sustainable farming”.
Dr Goldson, AgResearch Chief Scientist is ranked fourth most influential in Science and Technology. The Listener describes him as “a formidable advocate for science” whose “reputation has been forged at the grass roots of the New Zealand agriculture industry”.
