Academic and Professional Background

    Aimee completed a BSc at the University of Canterbury with one year abroad at the University of Alberta in Canada. She majored in Biology with an emphasis on microbial, entomological and ecological sciences. She began studying at Lincoln in 2009 for a PG Diploma in applied science and later switched to a Master of Applied Science degree.

    The purpose of Aimee’s MSc project “Rhizosphere competence in Beauveria spp.” is to determine whether certain isolates of B. bassiana and B. caledonica are rhizosphere competent among different plant hosts, and how rhizosphere competence may influence persistence and pathogenicity of the fungi for insect pests.

    Her Supervisor is Prof Travis Glare and Associate Supervisors Prof Leo Condron and Dr Robert Hill (all Lincoln University).
