Academic and Professional Background

• Background:

  Bruce is the Chief Operating Officer for Plant & Food Research. He is experienced in strategic planning and in bringing teams together to drive results and lift performance. He has demonstrated a strong ability to lead and implement change and to coordinate across government and industry in developing innovation for economic growth. Bruce has experience in leadership of science across ecology, climate change, plant improvement sustainability and biotechnology. He has a first class honours degree in agricultural science from Massey University and a Ph.D in ecological strategy from the University of Sheffield.
