Academic and Professional Background

  • Background:

    BSc/Hons and MSc degree with distinction from Sapienza University of Rome, where he specialized in Environmental Sciences, undertaking projects using GIS, Remote Sensing and geostatistical methods to study and model environmental dynamics. Throughout his studies he has had the opportunity to be involved in several projects, both in Italy and abroad, specifically working for UNDP and the Italian Development Cooperation (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) as a member of an inter-disciplinary team for the development of Decision Support Systems for environmental planning and management in Galápagos Islands (Ecuador) in 2006 and Socotra Archipelago (Yemen) in 2007.

    In the last year he has worked on a project funded by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Sea Protection aimed at evaluating the effects of climate change on forest tree species in Italy.
