• Personal Resume: John's research background in the UK spans various disciplines, including Pharmacology, Microbiology and Virology. John also spent 5 years working in local government finance before emigrating to New Zealand in 1995. More recently, John spent 12 years in various management roles within the New Zealand health sector prior to commencing his current position with the Centre.

  In his role of Operations Manager for the Bio-Protection Research Centre, John's primary objective is to apply his business skills to assist the Director with the day-to-day running of the Centre.

  Professionally, John is well versed in key business processes such as strategic and operational planning, contract and project management, quality improvement and risk management.
