Postdoctoral Fellow Pasture Legume Seed Production (Vacancy 09/42)
The Bio-Protection Research Centre is a Centre of Research Excellence hosted by Lincoln University. The Centre has four partner Institutes (Lincoln University, Massey University, Plant & Food Research, AgResearch) and seven other collaborating institutes. The Lincoln University Seed Research Centre has been recently established within the Bio-Protection Research centre, and conducts internationally recognised research on seed production and seed quality.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will undertake independent research on pasture legume seed production to develop reliable high seed yield and quality within an established research programme in the Seed Research Centre, in collaboration with AgResearch. The fellow will contribute to an active research group with strong national and international links and high publishing rates.
Applicants will be required to have a recent PhD in plant physiology or agronomy or plant breeding or plant biology or plant ecology. They will also need strong research skills and an understanding of NZ primary production farming systems.
