I’m a nature-society geographer researching intersections of land governance, data ethics, diverse economies, and climate justice currently using a biosecurity lens to understand relationships between human and more-than-human natures and multispecies coexistence. My professional interests convey environmental policy projects supporting Indigenous co-governance to move beyond rights-based frameworks for land-use, resource management, and conservation, emphasizing participatory approaches and territorial sovereignty.
I graduated in International Relations, got a masters in Environmental Sciences at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, a PhD in Geography at University of Florida and a post-doctoral fellow in Human Ecology at University of California -Davis.
