I am a PhD researcher based at Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki Lincoln University in the Department of Environmental Management. My doctoral research examines the values that drive pest management within catchments, particularly who is included in deciding what pests are.
This research extends my interest and experience in environmental governance, community participation, and watery spaces. Prior to starting my PhD, I worked in environmental policy in both local and central government, in waste management programmes, and as a youth representative on the Environment Canterbury Youth Rōpū and Te Tira Kāhikuhiku, the Christchurch Red Zones transformative land use consultative group. I hold a Bachelor of Environmental Policy and Planning with Honours from Lincoln University, completed in 2021. Through my work, I aim to bring the voices of community members into academic and policy discussions about biosecurity and our environment.
