I am a PhD student in Molecular Plant Pathology at Massey University. My research explores the genes that enable the apple scab pathogen (Venturia inaequalis) to infect resistant apple cultivars. I have a Bachelor of Science (Hons) majoring in Biology from the University of Canterbury. My studies began in plant science, but I quickly became fascinated by the ways pathogens evolve to avoid recognition and infect plants. When I am not in the lab, you can find me exploring Manawatū on my bike or learning to play the drums.
