Bula vinaka! I’m a PhD student at Lincoln University with a background in ecology and a strong interest in how Pacific ecosystems respond to environmental change. Before moving to Aotearoa, I worked at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji and across the Pacific region, where I developed a passion for understanding and protecting island environments and communities in the face of climate change.

My research at Lincoln focuses on Indigenous Fijian agroecological systems and how they respond to land use changes and changing climate patterns. I’m particularly interested in how applied community knowledge, combined with scientific enquiry, can strengthen the resilience of rural livelihoods under climate pressure.

I’m also looking forward to connecting with other researchers and learning from the collaborative environment within Bioprotection Aotearoa.
