Centres of Research Excellence (CoREs) are inter-institutional research networks funded by the New Zealand Tertiary Education Commission. They are established to support outstanding research that is collaborative, strategically aligned, and contributes to the advancement of Aotearoa New Zealand across environmental, social, economic, and cultural dimensions.

Bioprotection Aotearoa is proud to be one of these national centres. We are hosted by Lincoln University and focus on addressing biological threats to natural and productive environments through collaborative, world-class research.

Our strength lies in working alongside researchers, communities, and partner institutions to generate new knowledge, nurture future leaders, and create lasting value for ecosystems and people.

Our CoRE Partners

Our work is built on strong partnerships across these institutions, whose collective academic expertise enables us to deliver world-leading, integrated research and education.
