I am a PhD student investigating soil carbon dynamics and plant-microbe interactions at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington, where I am supervised by Dr Nicola Day. My research is part of the Farming for Resilience project with Bioprotection Aotearoa, which reflects my interest in how microbial functions contribute to ecosystem resilience.

I completed my BSc (Hons) with Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland and Plant and Food Research, and have worked in plant-microbe interactions and plant pathology at both AgResearch and Plant and Food Research. Along the way I’ve gained expertise in molecular methodologies and microbiology.
